This morning my Silent Auction took place during the Tagish Community Pancake Breakfast, starting at 10am and ending at 12pm. I’m guessing that over 50 people came, and the auction tables were packed for more than an hour. I had 22 items on display in all, and during the auction more items were donated for the next auction I am planning. Every item on the table sold out, and I raised way more than I expected. It total, the silent auction raised $1226 towards my Antarctic Expedition, and that is not including several cash donations that were made during the 2 hours. It was a smashing success!!!
Thank you to everyone who donated and bid during the auction; you are helping to bring me closer and closer to the south pole!
Also thank you to all of the companies and the individuals who donated items for my action: Yukon Bird Club, Yukon, North of Ordinary, Dean’s Strings, Icycle Sport, Midnight Sun Coffee Roasters, Climate Clothing, North End Gallery, Paradise Alley, Aroma Borealis, Elements Esthetics Studio, Coast Mountain Sports, Midnight Sun Emporium, Mac’s Fireweed Bookstore, Murdoch’s Gem Shop, Alpine Bakery, Yukon Knives, Marilyn van Delft, Cleo Hosni, the Tagish Community Library, and three anonymous persons.
I have now raised a grand total of $8629 towards my Antarctica expedition. Only $4871 to go, plus my plane tickets to Toronto.
Again, thank you so much for your support! If it were not for the support of my friends, family, and community, there is no way that I could ever go on this expedition.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day! 🙂
