Saturday 20 April: Birding Skagway with Devon Yacura! Meet at the Skagway ferry terminal at 11am Alaska time. (5hrs)

Monday 22 April: Shrikes & Bluebirds on the North Klondike with Boris Dobrowolsky. Meet at Porter Creek Super A at 6:30pm. (3hrs)

Friday 26 April: Carcross – Nares Mountain Dusky Grouse hike with Dan Kemble. Wear hiking boots. Meet at the gazebo across from Montana Services at 6:30pm. (3hrs)

Saturday 27 April: Tagish – Catch early spring migrants along the 6-Mile River with Shyloh van Delft. Meet at the Tagish Bridge rest area at 2pm. (2.5hrs)

Sunday 5 May: Faro – Sheep & Crane Festival bird walk with Mary Whitley. Meet at the Faro Rec Centre on Campbell St. at 10am. (2hrs)

Thursday 9 May: Whitehorse – Waterbirds of the Quartz Road Wetland with Jim Hawkings. Meet at Boston Pizza at 5:30pm. (1.5hrs)

Saturday 11 May: Carcross – Scenic birding with Tami Hamilton. Meet at the gazebo across from Montana Services at 1pm. (2hrs)

Tuesday 14 May: Whitehorse – A bird tour of the Fish Lake Road with Ione Christensen. Meet at the Porter Creek Super A at 6pm. (2hrs)

Wednesday 15 May: Yukon Wildlife Preserve – Spring birding with Cameron & Jake. Meet at the Wildlife Preserve at 6pm. (2hrs)

Wednesday 15 May: Haines Junction – Ducks, shorebirds, and the first warblers with Sarah Davidson. Meet at Madley’s General Store at 7:30pm. (2hrs)

New! Thursday 16 May: Whitehorse – Join Andre Langlois at the Yukon Beringia Centre for a presentation exploring the Yukon’s diverse and fascinating butterflies and moths. Meet at 6:30pm (2hrs)

Tuesday 21 May: Whitehorse – Songbirds of Paddy’s Pond in Hillcrest with Mary Whitley. Meet at the SKKY hotel, across from the airport at 5:30pm (2hrs)

Wednesday 22 May: Watson Lake – Waterbirds of Wye Lake with Susan Drury. Meet at the First Wye Lake Park cabin at 6:30pm (2hrs)

Sunday 26 May: Whitehorse – McIntyre Creek Birdsong Workshop, a spring tune-up with Pam Sinclair. Meet at the Porter Creek Super A at 7:30am (morning!). (3hrs)

Sunday 2 June: Whitehorse – Enjoy the unique forest and wetland habitats of Mary Lake with Wendy Nixon. Meet at the SS Klondike at 8:30am or the Fireweed Drive mailboxes at 9am. (2hrs)

Friday 7 June: Whitehorse – Explore the forest and ponds along McIntyre Creek near Yukon College with Katie Aitken. This walk involves a few hills. Meet in front of the Yukon Arts Centre at 7pm. (2hrs)

Wednesday 12 June: Whitehorse – Take in  this riverside stroll along the Millennium Trail with Jenny Trapnell. Meet at the Fish Ladder in Riverdale at 6:30pm. (2hrs)

Saturday 29 June: Whitehorse – Get to know the birds and dragonflies of Hidden Lakes, with Syd Cannings. Meet at the Fish Ladder in Riverdale at 1pm. For more info call Syd 335-6633. (2hrs)

Sunday 30 June: Dawson City – Experience the birds of this historic town with sebastian Jones. Meet at Dawson’s Visitor Information Centre at 5:30pm. (2.5hrs)

A northern birding festival in beautiful Tombstone Park. A great chance to see specialties such as Surfbird, Long-tailed Jaeger, Smith’s Longspur, and Northern Wheatear.

Hosted at Tombstone Campground – km 71 on the Dempster Highway.

Sunday 22 September: Whitehorse – Birding on the marge of Lake Laberge with Ione Christensen. Dress warmly, wear boots, and bring a lunch. Meet at the Porter Creek Super A at 9:30am. (5hrs)
